Portia de Rossi lands herself on "Scandal". The "Ally McBeal" alumna is billed to star in the fourth season of the ABC hit series for a "top secret" role. The casting news has been confirmed. She will make appearance in multiple episodes, but details of her role are not available yet.
Rossi's comedian wife Ellen DeGeneres broke the news on Wednesday, July 23 as she tweeted, "So annoying when people brag on twitter & that's why I'm not tweeting that Portia just signed on to do a top secret arc on 'Scandal'. Oops."
Rossi is known for her roles as lawyer Nelle Porter on "Ally McBeal" and Lindsay Funke on "Arrested Development". She recently reprised her role as the Bluth family member in the fourth season of the sitcom ordered by Netflix.
"Scandal" season 4 premieres Thursday, September 25 at 9 P.M. Series creator Shonda Rhimes recently confirmed the fate of Columbus Short's Harrison Wright following the cliffhanger in the third season finale, saying, "His absence will be explained definitively. What you think happened to his character happened to his character."
