During his talk show, the comedian showed off some photos of his newborn daughter whom he named after his grandmother.
Jimmy Kimmel has shared first pictures of his baby daughter Jane, whom he welcomed with wife Molly McNearney on July 10. In the July 21 episode of "Jimmy Kimmel Live!", the talk show host shared adorable photos of his daughter and explained the name of the little girl.
"We've been off work for the last two weeks. We've actually been on vacation. I got a lot done. I painted a mirror in my house. I grew this beard. Oh, and I had a baby also. My wife and I made a baby. You know how we did it?" Jimmy asked the audience. "We made it out of sex," he said.
"We had a little girl. We named her after my grandmother- her name is Grandma Kimmel," Jimmy said jokingly, "No, we named her Jane."
"My wife is doing fine. I'm fine, too. I was so brave. I cried a little but I didn't scream. You guys would've been very proud of me," the late night show host continued.
Jimmy then shared some pictures of his daughter. The first picture showed the newborn "freshly out of the womb." "Do you know they come out wearing clown makeup? It's the weirdest thing," he joked.
The second picture showed the baby girl wearing a bow. In the third photo, Jimmy's seen caressing his daughter's face. "You can see, her head's like the size of a plum. She weighed 6 lbs., 1 ounce, 20 inches long. Just above the legal limit," he said.
In the fourth picture, Jane was giggling. The final picture showed Jane hiding her face from the camera. "I've been taking in the neighborhood of 10,000 pictures of her a day and she's finally had enough of it," the father joked. "She thinks I'm with TMZ now," he added.
