The Australian boys performed 'She Looks So Perfect' and 'Amnesia' during their appearance on the show on July 22, the day their debut album was released in the U.S.
5 Seconds of Summer celebrated the release of their debut album in the U.S. by taking over the "Today" show summer concert series on Tuesday, July 22. Hitting the stage at the Rockefeller Plaza in New York City, the band delivered the live performances of their hits for a massive audience.
According to the morning show's hosts, fans had been camping outside the Plaza "since last Thursday." Hoda Kotb also reported that 18 young girls even received medical attention "because they'd been out for so long."
During their appearance on the show, the Australian pop/punk group consisting of Ashton Irwin, Luke Hemmings, Michael Clifford and Calum Hood performed their debut hit single "She Looks So Perfect" for thousands of screaming fans. The boys also tackled another single called "Amnesia".
The two tracks appear in the group's self-titled debut album, "5 Seconds of Summer". To support the set, 5SOS will reunite with One Direction for the North American leg of the boyband's "Where We Are" tour next month.
