"Star Wars Episode VII" keeps adding new cast member. The latest addition is Christina Chong, a British actress who was recently seen on FOX's "24: Live Another Day". Her character is still unknown, but it's reportedly a minor role.
The seventh installment of "Star Wars" franchise is slated for December 18, 2015 in the U.S. The crew is taking a two-week hiatus in August while adjustments to the current production schedule are made as Harrison Ford recovers from a leg injury.
Returning cast like Mark Hamill and Carrie Fisher will be joined by new faces such as John Boyega, Daisy Ridley, Adam Driver, Oscar Isaac, Andy Serkis, Domhnall Gleeson, Max von Sydow, Lupita Nyong'o, Gwendoline Christie, Crystal Clarke, and Pip Andersen.
The seventh movie will be followed by "Star Wars Episode VIII" in 2017 and "Star Wars Episode IX" in 2018. J.J. Abrams directs "Episode VII", while Rian Johnson ("Looper") tackles the next installment. Spin-off movies will be released between the entries. Gareth Edwards and Josh Trank are attached to helm either one of the standalone films.
