Deborah Ann Woll has landed a role on Netflix's "Daredevil". The "True Blood" actress will portray Karen Page, the longest running love interest for the titular superhero's alter ego Matt Murdock, played by Charlie Cox.
In the comic books, Page was first introduced in Daredevil #1 issued in April 1964 as the secretary for the law firm of Murdock. Their relationship went through several breakups, including when he revealed his secret identity to her in Daredevil #57 (October 1969), before she was killed by Bullseye. The character was briefly glimped in 2003's "Daredevil, The Movie" starring Ben Affleck.
In addition to Cox and Woll, the 13-episode series has tapped Rosario Dawson, Vincent D'Onofrio, Elden Henson and Peter Shinkoda as series regulars. Steven S. DeKnight is serving as a showrunner.
Woll stars as vampire Jessica Hamby on HBO's "True Blood". Her other acting credits include guest-starring roles on "ER", "CSI: Crime Scene Investigation" and "The Mentalist".
