New "Power Rangers" movie has got creative team. The Hollywood Reporter learns that Ashley Miller and Zack Stentz ("X-Men: First Class") are tapped to write a fresh treatment to bring Power Rangers back to the silver screen for Lionsgate.

On top of that, Roberto Orci who penned "The Amazing Spider-Man" and "Transformers" movies will serve as an executive producer. The scribe who is currently working on "Star Trek 3" will help Miller and Stentz develop the story.

The upcoming movie will re-envision the Mighty Morphin Power Rangers, a group of high school kids who are infused with unique and cool super powers but must harness and use those powers as a team if they have any hope of saving the world.

No director and actor have been cast for the new take on the six iconic color-coded superheroes. The film is expected to launch a potential new franchise and follow the successes of Lionsgate's series like "Twilight", "The Hunger Games", and "Divergent".
