ABC has become the last major broadcast network to announce its fall premiere dates. The network sets the return dates for such favorite shows as "Scandal" and "Modern Family, as well as the premiere dates for newbies including "Forever", "How to Get Away With Murder" and "Manhattan Love Story".

Kicking off the new season on the Alphabet is popular reality show "Dancing with the Stars", which will begin its 19th cycle with a two-hour episode on Monday, September 15 at 8 P.M. The next week, the dancing competition series will be followed by a special sneak preview episode of "Forever" at 10 P.M.

"DWTS" will also get two special results shows on Tuesday, September 16 and September 23. Meanwhile, new drama "Forever" will air in its regular time period beginning Tuesday, September 23, after "Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D." debuts its second season one-hour earlier at 9 P.M.

"Modern Family", which is among ABC's Wednesday comedy block, returns on September 24 along with "The Middle", "The Goldbergs", new sitcom "Black-ish" as well as drama "Nashville".

Shonda Rhimes' "Grey's Anatomy" and "Scandal" are moved one-hour earlier on Thursdays to make room for her new show "How to Get Away with Murder" starring Viola Davis, which will debut on September 25.

The long-awaited new season of "Last Man Standing" will finally launch on Friday, October 3, and new comedy "Cristela" rounds out the network's rollout plan, being set to debut on Friday, October 10.

At the TCA summer press tour on Tuesday, July 15, ABC chief Paul Lee took questions from critics about its push for diversity in the line-up with new three ethnic family comedies, "Black-ish", "Cristela" and "Fresh Off the Boat" (coming midseason). "We're taking a very good step along that journey," he said, "To be able to pull this off, you need not just stars on air... you need storytellers and executives... You need the people telling the stories to truly reflect America as it is."

Asked why sophomore show "The Goldbergs" wasn't more specific in being about a Jewish family, Lee responded, "I don't think there's anybody in the country who watches 'The Goldbergs' who doesn't think it's a show about a Jewish family; I think it's pretty explicit."

The day before, Shonda Rhimes appeared at the TCA press tour, where she said that she had not planned an end date for "Grey's Anatomy" yet, insisting that the medical drama "is still the No. 1 drama on television."

She also said that she had no plans to add a series regular to "Scandal" following Columbus Short's exit, saying, "Not yet.... I have no plans to do so, yet."
