Gabriel Ferrari and Andrew Barrer are reportedly tapped as production writers for the movie which is now directed by Peyton Reed.
More writers are added to polish the script of "Ant-Man". According to a scoop from Latino-Review, Gabriel Ferrari and Andrew Barrer are hired to finish the screenplay last revised by Adam McKay. The original draft was written by Joe Cornish and director Edgar Wright who left the project due to creative differences.
Rumor has it, the duo is booked as production writers to handle any necessary changes on set. They got Hollywood attention with their spec script "Die in a Gunfight" which made it to Black List in 2010, but their work in "Sabrina the Teenage Witch" is the one which helped them land the "Ant-Man" gig from Marvel.
Peyton Reed now serves as a new director to replace Wright. Director of Photography, Bill Pope ("Spider-Man 2"), who frequently worked with Wright also departed the movie along with Steven Price ("Gravity") who was initially tapped to score the upcoming superhero flick.
Pope once said, " 'Ant-Man' will be shot on film with the Panavision cameras. We've shot all of [Wright's] movies on film. He likes it. I like it. I feel more transported. Interestingly, because it's not as crisp and all-seeing as digital, I'm actually transported by the graphicness of it into the imagery, emotionally. It's hard for me to explain why I like film, but that's the best I can come up with."
The film is slated to make its way out across the United States starting July 17, 2015. Paul Rudd, Michael Douglas, Evangeline Lilly, Patrick Wilson, Michael Pena, Corey Stoll, Matt Gerald, and David Dastmalchian are among the cast members.
