Scott Derrickson and C. Robert Cargill will work in tandem to script the movie based on the episode 'Demon With a Glass Hand'.
MGM's big screen adaptation of TV series "The Outer Limits" is moving forward after years in development hell. Scott Derrickson, who has been tapped to direct Marvel's "Dr. Strange", is on board to write the "Outer Limits" along with his "Sinister" writing partner C. Robert Cargill.
"My screenwriting future has LIMITS," so Derrickson tweeted along with a picture of himself holding out an "Outer Limits" DVD. Cargill, meanwhile, wrote on his own Twitter page, "I'm proud to announce Mine and Scott Derrickson's 6th cinematic collaboration together."
Based on a classic sci-fi series which ran on ABC from 1963 to 1965, the movie will be based on an episode titled "Demon With a Glass Hand". The segment centered on a man with a computerized hand and no memory of the previous 10 days. He discovers he's from the future and being hunted by aliens.
