Lara Logan Returns to '60 Minutes' After Six-Month Suspesion

The CBS News correspondent is back at work, months after she was forced to take a leave of absence due to an inaccurate report about the Benghazi attack.

Lara Logan is back at work at CBS News, six months after she was suspended from "60 Minutes" due to Benghazi report error on the newsmagazine. A rep for CBS News confirms the report, but doesn't divulge any details.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Logan likely will not be seen on "60 Minutes" until the fall. She, however, may begin appearing on other CBS News broadcasts in the coming weeks.

Logan was put on a forced leave of absence last fall over an inaccurate report about an attack of the U.S. Consulate in Benghazi, Libya that killed four Americans. Her report in the October 27, 2013 episode of "60 Minutes" relied heavily on the story by Dylan Davies, a British security contractor who worked for Blue Mountain.

Davies' credibility had been undermined as he told different different versions of the events. In his review, CBS News executive Al Ortiz thought the fact that Davies lied to his employer about the real account of what happened during the attack "should have been a red flag in the editorial vetting process."
