Pharrell Williams swaps his usual Vivienne Westwood mountie hat for feather headdress on the cover of Elle U.K. On the front page of the magazine's special edition, the super producer wears a colorful top and an Indian headgear as he makes a serious expression. The photo, which was taken by Doug Inglish, shows the "Happy" singer staring off into the distance.

The photo, however, has offended some people. They took to the magazine's and his Facebook to voice their disappointment with the use of the sacred headdress in the photoshoot. "You have no right to wear a headress that is so sacred to native people..Those headresses are earned and not worn to make a buck or draw attention," wrote a Facebook user on Williams' page. "Go back to wearing your OWN clothes."

"Your cover isn't something you should be proud of. This is NOT appropriate, ELLE," another user commented on the magazine's Facebook page. "This is the worse cover ever! Why does he have to be in a Native American headdress! This is not at all ok!" another person wrote.

Speaking to the magazine, Williams mentions his wife Helen's contribution to his success. "We just motivated each other as friends. She pushes me. I push her," he says.
