Lead star Rowan Blanchard gets sentimental on the last day of the filming, tweeting, 'So many tears. So many smiles. So much I've learned. And that's a wrap on #season1 of #GirlMeetsWorld.'

AceShowbiz - "Girl Meets World" can now enjoy a summer break after wrapping up the filming on season 1 of the show. Giving an update on the new Disney series, some cast members took to Twitter and Instagram to share pictures from the last day of production on the first season.

"And that's a wrap on season one of #girlmeetsworld," Rowan Blanchard, who portrays the titular "Girl", wrote in a caption of a photo featuring the cast on stage after shooting their final scene on Friday, May 23. "This cast and crew is a family. One. I love you all so much and I cannot believe how much I have learned from each and every one of you. I have never met a group who's hearts are as big as their talent. Here's to many more years of being a family."

She also wrote an equally sentimental tweet which read, "So many tears. So many smiles. So much I've learned. And that's a wrap on #season1 of #GirlMeetsWorld."

Her on-screen BFF Sabrina Carpenter took to her own Instagram to post a similar picture and captioned it with, "#girlmeetsworld season 1- wrapped. Take on the world this summer my loves. Forever grateful for all I've been taught This past year. More to come."

Danielle Fishel, who reprises her role as Topanga, shared a black-and-white image of her and her younger co-stars Blanchard and Carpenter. "My girls and me," so she wrote. "This photo may be in black and white but our friendship is all of the colors of the rainbow.#Season1isawrap."

Ben Savage, meanwhile, posted a photo of the cast sitting together on the last day of filming. "Episode 21," he simply wrote. The actor returns as Cory on the "Boy Meets World" spin-off.

"Girl Meets World" centers on Cory and Topanga's tween daughter Riley Matthews who, along with her best friend Maya, will navigate through middle school under her parents' watchful eyes. It will premiere Friday, June 27, at 9:45 P.M. on Disney Channel, which recently unveiled its new logo.

A new promo introducing the members of Matthews family has been shared online.
