After Edgar Wright parted ways with Marvel over "Ant-Man" movie, now Drew Goddard steps down from his position as a showrunner for Marvel's "Daredevil" series. He is replaced by Steven S. DeKnight ("Spartacus", "Buffy: The Vampire Slayer", "Angel").

Goddard, who also wrote the first two episodes of the upcoming Netflix series, will continue to be involved in the project as an executive producer. He also splits his time to write and direct "The Amazing Spider-Man" spin-off film, "The Sinister Six" for Sony.

"Daredevil" is expected to start production this summer for a 2015 premiere. Other Marvel characters like Jessica Jones, Luke Cage, and Iron Fist will also go to Netflix for a one-season series each. Those adaptations will eventually set up a miniseries "The Defenders".

Meanwhile, "The Sinister Six" hasn't got a release date. Besides bring together Spidey's toughest enemies, Sony is developing another spin-off "Venom (2017)" and has announced "The Amazing Spider-Man 3" which is planned for June 10, 2016 release.
