AceShowbiz - Austin Mahone has previewed his forthcoming EP, "The Secret", with another new track titled "Next to You". Arriving on Wednesday, May 21 via MTV, the poppy, up-tempo and highly-danceable song was produced by RedOne.
"Next to You" features strong NSYNC and/or Backstreet Boys vibes in the chorus. In it, Mahone talks about him falling for a pretty girl who's unhappy with her current boyfriend. He wants the girl to end the relationship and start anew with him.
"No matter what you say or do, he don't really care about you/ I will, I will/ I will, I will/ Let me know," the Texas-born teen sings. "Whenever you decide to be, to never be alone, believe it/ I will, I will/ I will be next to you."
"The Secret" EP, which was formerly planned to be released as Mahone's debut LP, is coming out on May 27. The six-song record will also include his collaboration with Pitbull, "MMM Yeah". His debut full-length is now scheduled to arrive later this year.
