The former 'Scandal' star was accused of breaking a man's nose and knocking him unconscious during a bar brawl.

AceShowbiz - Columbus Short has entered a not guilty plea deal in the bar brawl case. The former "Scandal" star attended his arraignment on Thursday, May 15 in a Los Angeles courtroom to enter his plea.
Short was arrested by Claremont police on March 26 after he allegedly attacked a man at a West Hollywood restaurant. The victim allegedly suffered a broken nose and was unconscious for a while. The actor was charged with felony battery with serious bodily injury and was released after posting a $50,000 bail. He faced up to four years in jail if convicted.
Short was also involved in another violence-related case. A month after the bar brawl, his wife Tanee McCall claimed he choked her, put a knife to her neck, and slashed her car tire during an altercation at their home. She filed a temporary restraining order against him and he was ordered to move out of their house under supervision of the authorities.
Amidst the personal issues, Short quit "Scandal" after three years. "At this time, I must confirm my exit from a show I've called home for three years, with what is the most talented ensemble on television today," he said in a statement in late April. "I would like to first thank Shonda Rhimes for the opportunity to work with such an amazing cast."
