A number of Hollywood's big stars glittered the black carpet at the premiere of "X-Men: Days of Future Past" at the Jacob Javits Center in New York City. Jennifer Lawrence who plays Mystique took a break from "The Hunger Games: Mockingjay" filming in Paris to support the special screening.
The pixie-haired actress ditched her frequent Dior look. This time around, she chose a midnight blue dress from Jason Wu Fall 2014 collection, and finished it off with Jimmy Choo shoes, a Kotur clutch, and Ana Khouri jewelry. Her real-life boyfriend Nicholas Hoult who plays Beast also came to the event looking dashing in his designer tux.
Lawrence nearly tripped once again. The Oscar winner, who fell while on her way to accept her Oscar trophy at the 2013 ceremony and then took a tumble on the red carpet at the same event in the following year, lost her balance when walking up a set of stairs at the "X-Men" premiere. But two assistants helped steady her.
"I'm trying to do the right thing, waving to fans, trying to be nice, and there's a traffic cone. The second I hit it, I was laughing, but on the inside I was like, 'You're f**ked. They're totally going to think this is an act,' " she remembered her second Oscar fall in a recent interview with Marie Claire.
"But trust me if I was going to plan it, I would have done it at the Golden Globes or the SAGs," she added. "I would have never done it at two Oscars in a row. I watch 'Homeland'. I'm craftier than that!"
The "X-Men" premiere was also attended by Ellen Page. The Kitty Pryde depicter channeled her inner masculinity in a Band of Outsiders blazer, a Marissa Webb blouse, and Saint Laurent pants and boots. Fan Bingbing who plays Blink chose a dramatic look with a Georges Chakra white dress with cape-like sleeves accented with sapphire-blue feathers.
Evan Peters who plays Quicksilver came with his girlfriend, actress Emma Roberts. He looked sharp in a green suit, while she was lovely in a pink strapless dress from Katie Ermilio Fall 2014 collection, which she paired with Jimmy Choo pumps and clutch.
The other couples at the premiere included Patrick Stewart & wife Sunny Ozell, Daniel Cudmore & wife Stephanie, Shawn Ashmore & wife Dana, Peter Dinklage & wife Erica Schmidt, Adan Canto & girlfriend Stephanie Lindquist, and Evan Jonigkeit & girlfriend Zosia Mamet.
Cast members like Hugh Jackman who sported bandage on his nose, Michael Fassbender, James McAvoy, Booboo Stewart, and Omar Sy also came to the event. On top of that, James Marsden and Famke Janssen who played Cyclops and Jean Grey in the original "X-Men" trilogy were spotted among the guests as well. The latter wore a J. Mendel pink strapless dress.
