Berry's astronaut character finds herself pregnant after returning home from a solo mission in space as her son warns her about extinction.
CBS has finally debuted the first full trailer for its high-profile summer series "Extant". Headlined by Halle Berry, the mystery thriller follows a female astronaut, Molly Woods, after returning from her 13-month solo mission in outer space.
The video briefly shows her strange encounter with something in space. She later finds out that she is pregnant. As she struggles to reconnect with her family, her son feels she's "different now."
The boy also shares his theory about extinction, while some executives try to conceal secret from her. "Don't trust anyone," says a man in the sneak-peek video. An official logline for the show also teases, "Her experiences lead to events that ultimately will change the course of human history."
The new drama series is executive produced by Steven Spielberg, who also wrote it along with Greg Walker and Mickey Fisher. Supported by Camryn Manheim, Pierce Gagnon, Hiroyuki Sanada, Goran Visnjic, Michael O'Neill and Grace Gummer in the cast, it is slated to premiere Wednesday, July 9 at 9 P.M. on CBS.
