Jay McGuiness confirms the incident in a Twitter post, writing, 'To reassure you, we were NOT stabbed, but a guy in Denver did pull a knife out on us.'

AceShowbiz - Two members of The Wanted, Jay McGuiness and Siva Kaneswaran, were involved in a scary encounter with a knife-wielding homeless man in Denver earlier this week. According to TMZ, the boybanders were in Denver for their "Word of Mouth" tour and they decided to watch Johnny Depp's movie "Transcendence" before the concert.

After leaving the cinema, the two met a homeless man asking for money. Kaneswaran reportedly obliged, but the man asked for more. When the two refused, the homeless man reportedly pulled out a knife. They apparently were involved in a scuffle, but the stars managed to leave unharmed. According to a source, police were not called following the incident.

Without mentioning the scary run-in, Kaneswaran talked about the flick which also stars Paul Bettany, Rebecca Hall and Kate Mara among others the next day. "Saw #Transcendence last night! Loved it! Thanks for the free tix UA Denver Pavilions," he wrote on April 23.

On Friday, April 25, McGuiness took to Twitter to tell the group's fans that he and his bandmate were not injured. "To reassure you, we were NOT stabbed, but a guy in Denver did pull a knife out on us- do not worry, we were lucky & we still love Denver," he wrote. Kaneswaran retweeted the post.
