Sundance Film 'Ping Pong Summer' Releases First Trailer

Susan Sarandon plays a mentor to a ping pong-obsessed teenager who gets bullied by his peers.

The first trailer for coming-of-age comedy "Ping Pong Summer" has arrived online for viewing pleasure. It gives a sneak peek at a ping pong-obsessed teenage boy whose life is changed during his family summer vacation to Ocean City, Maryland in 1985.

Rad Miracle is an outcast who often becomes the target of rich local bullies. He finds an unexpected mentor in his next-door neighbor, played by Susan Sarandon. The former Ping Pong champion helps him become an expert and turn the table on his bullies.

Marcello Conte plays the main character, while Lea Thompson, Amy Sedaris, John Hannah, and Judah Friedlander are in the supporting roles. The film was premiered at Sundance early this year and will get theatrical and VOD release on June 6 in the United States.
