"Magic Mike" sequel has got a title and booked a release date. Titled "Magic Mike XXL", the second film is confirmed to make its way out in theaters across the United States on July 3, 2015, just in time for the national holiday on Independence Day.

The original starred such hunks as Alex Pettyfer, Matthew McConaughey, Matthew Bomer, Channing Tatum, and Joe Manganiello. "I think everyone's gonna be back, I think. Obviously no one's deals are done which is always kind of scary," Tatum said.

The "22 Jump Street" actor penned the script with Reid Carolin, the writer of the first film. "[We started writing] probably like two months ago. With my partner Reid I was like, 'Ah it'll write itself, it's fine' - not the case. Not the case at all," he told MTV.

The father of one confirmed, "This one will be a road trip movie. Without giving a lot away, we don't wanna make it a really serious, slice-of-life movie. We want to have reality in it, but we don't want to make it some dark drama."

"There was some darkness in the last one that I think surprised people and shocked people. This one, we want there to be a lot of conflict and a lot of struggle, but we also want there to be a s**t-ton of fun. A s**t-ton of just ridiculous stuff that you would never see in a movie."

The first film released in 2012 was loosely based on Tatum's experience as a young stripper. Directed by Steven Soderbergh, it bagged $167 million worldwide against a budget of only $7 million. The follow-up is expected to begin production this fall.
