Nielsen SoundScan reports that the soundtrack album sells 149,000 while the Australian band's EP 'She Looks So Perfect' follows with 143,000.
The soundtrack of "Frozen (2013)" keeps its position steady at No. 1 on Billboard 200. Nielsen SoundScan reports that the compilation album has just claimed its ninth week atop the chart after selling another 149,000 copies.
The record, which was released back in November, has so far sold 1.9 million copies. Currently on course for its tenth week on the chart's top slot, it may tie "The Lion King" for the longest run at No. 1 by an animated film soundtrack. "The Lion King" soundtrack spent 10 non-consecutive weeks at No. 1 in 1994 and 1995.
Running closely behind "Frozen" is 5 Seconds of Summer's "She Looks So Perfect" EP. The set debuts at No. 2 with 143,000. The Australian band, who served as the opening act for One Direction's tour last year, will rejoin the British boyband on some legs of their new tour later this year.
Rock band Chevelle's "La Gargola" entered the chart at No. 3 with 45,000. At No. 4, Christina Perri's "Head or Heart" arrives with 40,000. Rounding out the top 5 is Shakira's self-titled album "Shakira" which falls from No. 2 with 29,000.
Dan + Shay's "Where It All Began" takes the sixth spot on the chart. Supported by hit single "19 You + Me", the country duo's first LP has sold nearly 29,000. Nickel Creek's "A Dotted Line" is at No. 7 with 27,000.
At No. 8 is Johnny Cash's "Out Among the Stars" which plunges from last week's No. 3 with 26,000. Pharrell Williams' "G I R L" falls from No. 5 to No. 9 with 25,000, while the "Now 49" compilation album jumps three rungs to No. 10 with 20,000.
