Syfy is pulling the plug on "Being Human". The NBCUniversal-owned cable network has officially announced that the current fourth season will be the last for the supernatural drama series.
"Showrunner Anna Fricke and the talented producers, writers, cast and crew have done an amazing job bringing this show to life over the past four seasons and we sincerely thank them and the series' production company Muse Entertainment for their hard work," Syfy says in a statement. "They've saved the best for last with the final six episodes that revisit the story's beginning, leading to a not-to-be-missed send-off for Aidan, Sally, Josh and Nora."
There are only six episodes left in the fourth and final season of the series and the network promises that they will be "full of twists, turns and surprises that will culminate in a spectacular series finale" set to air April 7.
The cast of the show have taped a thank-you video message. In the video, Sam Huntington who plays werewolf Josh Levison says, "What I'll miss most about being on 'Being Human' is the fact that I...Oh god, everything."
"Being Human" is based on a British show of the same name. The original series was canceled by BBC last year after five seasons.
