The upcoming Nickelodeon's 27th annual Kids' Choice Awards announces its nominees. In the movie category, Jennifer Lawrence, Robert Downey Jr., Sandra Bullock, and Johnny Depp score two nods each. Lawrence's movie "The Hunger Games: Catching Fire" and Downey Jr.'s "Iron Man 3" are also up for Favorite Movie, facing off "Oz: The Great and Powerful" and "The Smurfs 2".
Lawrence and Bullock are pitted against each other in Favorite Movie Actress and Favorite Female Buttkicker. The other contenders in the former category are "Oz" star Mila Kunis and "Smurfs" leading lady Jayma Mays, while the other competitors in the latter are Evangeline Lilly ("The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug") and Lawrence's "Catching Fire" co-star Jena Malone.
Downey Jr. and Depp clash with each other in Favorite Movie Actor and Favorite Male Buttkicker. They are joined by Adam Sandler ("Grown Ups 2") as well as "Smurf" star Neil Patrick Harris in the former category, and Hugh Jackman ("The Wolverine") as well as Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson ("Fast and Furious 6") in the latter.
In the animated field, contenders for favorite movie are "Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs 2", "Despicable Me 2", "Frozen (2013)", and "Monsters University". Vying for Favorite Voice from an Animated Movie, meanwhile, are Steve Carell, Miranda Cosgrove, Billy Crystal, and Katy Perry. Candidates for Favorite Funny Star, meanwhile, are Andy Samberg, Kevin Hart, Kaley Cuoco, and Sofia Vergara.
The winners will be revealed in a ceremony hosted by Mark Wahlberg live on March 29 from the Galen Center in Los Angeles, California. It will continue its tradition to give awards to kids' favorites in music, movie, TV, and other pop cultures.
