Nominees for Nickelodeon's 27th Annual Kids' Choice Awards have been announced. Vying for the top honor in TV field, Favorite TV Show, are "The Big Bang Theory", "Good Luck Charlie, "Jessie" and "Sam & Cat".
"Sam & Cat" leads other TV nominees with three nods in total. The show puts its lead stars Ariana Grande and Jennette McCurdy in contention to win Favorite TV Actress. Other contenders in the category are Bridgit Mendler ("Good Luck Charlie") and Debby Ryan ("Jessie").
Favorite TV Actor category, meanwhile, sees a competition among first-time nominees Benjamin Flores Jr. ("The Haunted Hathaways") and Jack Griffo ("The Thundermans") as well as last year's winner Ross Lynch ("Austin & Ally") and 2012 winner Jake Short ("A.N.T. Farm").
Commenting on his nomination, 17-year-old Griffo tells Just Jared Jr., "I'm blown away by the nomination! Just to be recognized at all when the show is so new is amazing. When I came to LA three years ago one of the first things I did was go to the KCA's with my mom as a fan. Hard to believe all this is happening. Very grateful and honored for the nomination."
"America's Got Talent", "American Idol, "The Voice" and "Wipeout", meanwhile, are up for Favorite Reality Show.
The winners in all categories, including movie, music, book and sports, will be presented with the awards in a ceremony scheduled to take place Saturday, March 29. Mark Wahlberg will host the event which airs live starting at 8 P.M. (ET/PT) from USC's Galen Center in Los Angeles.
