Lily Allen Debuts 'L8 CMMR' From 'Girls' Soundtrack

The song produced by Greg Kurstin will appear in the HBO show's soundtrack album scheduled to be released on February 11.

Lily Allen is another singer who has contributed to the soundtrack of popular TV series "Girls". The British beauty has just debuted a new song called "L8 CMMR" which she had recorded for the HBO show created by Lena Dunham.

"L8 CMMR" is another way of spelling "latecomer." The fun and refreshing track features the 28-year-old musician singing about being obsessed with his man and telling other girls that they "can't have him."

"I think the show is brilliant, so it was more or less a no brainer for me," she told Rolling Stone. "Greg Kurstin, who produced and co-wrote this track with me, played a few of the new tracks for a friend of his who works on the show. Apparently [music supervisor Manish Raval] loved the songs, and later came back to Greg asking if he could include one of the tracks in an episode."

The song will be featured in "Girls, Vol. 2: All Adventurous Women Do...", a soundtrack album that is due out on February 11. The record will also feature songs from Vampire Weekend, Beck and Miguel among others.

Allen is currently readying her third album, scheduled to arrive later this year. The follow-up to 2009's "It's Not Me, It's You" has so far spawned two singles, "Hard Out Here" and "Air Baloon". The mother of two recently filmed a music video for the latter track in South Africa.
