Jonas will be 'overseeing video content, wardrobe, lighting and staging' on his pal's tour that is set to begin in Vancouver on February 9.

AceShowbiz - Nick Jonas will be joining pal and fellow former Disney star Demi Lovato for her upcoming "Neon Lights" tour. The 24-year-old heartthrob, who previously worked with his "Camp Rock" co-star as a member of Jonas Brothers, will serve as the musical and creative director of the tour that is launched to support her latest album "Demi".

"I'm overseeing video content, wardrobe, lighting and staging," he revealed in an interview with Rolling Stone. "And then I'm extending into the musical side of things, which includes creating the arrangements for the songs. I'm building what Demi wanted, which is a show without stops and starts."

Jonas said he began working with Lovato for the tour a few months ago, around the same time Jonas Brothers decided to go separate ways. "Demi and I have the same manager," he explained. "I was immediately excited when I was offered the position. The relationship that Demi and I had over eight years really gives me the insight into how to best communicate with her and her team."

Jonas won't be at every single show, but he'll "get the tour up and running, make sure it's running smoothly, and then check in every few weeks."

Following the tour, Jonas will keep himself busy with his solo project. "Some of it is done and ready to be released," he said. "I've got a lot of things in the pipeline right now and I'm waiting to release some news about my music and my next steps. It isn't quite locked in yet, but I have started making some music and now it's all about lining up the pieces."

As for Lovato, the former judge of "The X Factor (US)" has just shared a teaser for her forthcoming tour that is set to kick off in Vancouver on February 9. "I've never put on a show this big or felt more like a rockstar than I do while rehearsing for this tour," she told her Twitter followers.

"This is gonna be huge!!! #NEONLIGHTSTOUR. Seriously guys.. I'm SO proud of this show and I promise I will make sure it blows your mind!! This is my best tour yet!!!!" she added.
