Kat Dahlia addresses issues about domestic violence against women in the music video for "The High". Shot in Miami by director Garcia, the provocative clip centers on the relationship between the singer and her on-screen partner.
At first, everything looks normal as the couple is seen making out passionately in a bedroom and a lift. However, the seemingly healthy relationship turns abusive after the man physically hurts his lady.
In another scene, Kat looks vulnerable as she describes the pain of being with his man. "My arms, yea they're reaching for stones/ But they're covered in scars/ Oh baby you're the bleeding of my heart," she sings.
"The High" appears in Kat's mixtape "Seeds". The Miami singer is currently readying her debut album, "My Garden", which is scheduled to be released later this year. Last month, she released her song "Crazy" for free on her website.
