'Frozen' Soundtrack Climbs to Billboard 200's No. 1

The soundtrack to the Disney animated movie rises from No. 4 to No. 1 after selling 165,000 copies, according to Nielsen SoundScan.

The soundrack to Disney's animated movie "Frozen (2013)" has finally claimed the top slot on Billboard 200. Rising from last week's No. 4, the album has sold 165,000 copies and marks the first soundtrack to reign the chart since "Les Miserables" reached No. 1 in January 2013.

"Frozen" also becomes the fourth soundrack of animated film to top Billboard 200. It follows the success of Jack Johnson's "Curious George" in 2006, Disney's "Pocahontas" in 1995 and "The Lion King" in 1994.

The new soundrack dethrones last week's first placer, Beyonce Knowles' self-titled album. The diva's "Beyonce", which spent its first three weeks at No. 1, slips to No. 2 with 130,000. Despite falling from the top position, the album has now sold a total of 1.4 million copies and surpassed the total sales of its predecessor "4" which was released in 2011 and has sold 1.39 million.

Staying at No. 3, Eminem's "MMLP2" sells 55,000 copies. Katy Perry's "Prism" ascends from No. 5 to No. 4 with 51,000 and Lorde's "Pure Heroine" rises from No. 7 to No. 5 with 46,000.

At No. 6, One Direction's "Midnight Memories" plunges from No. 2 with 45,000 while Luke Bryan's "Crash My Party" climbs seven rungs to No. 7 with 43,000. Also returning to the top 10, OneRepublic's "Native" takes the eighth spot with 35,000 and the "Now 48" album is placed ninth after selling 34,000. Imagine Dragons' "Night Visions" rounds out the top 10 with 31,000.
