'That '70s Show' Star Lisa Robin Kelly Died of Multiple Drug Intoxication
Coroner's office says that Kelly, who passed away in her sleep shortly after checking into a rehab center in August 2013, died of accidental overdose.

Details of Lisa Robin Kelly's cause of death have been released by the coroner's office. The star of "That '70s Show" passed away in her sleep at the Pax House Rehab Center in Altadena, Calif. in August 2013 and the authorities have ruled the death as accidental. According to Los Angeles County Coroner, toxicology tests confirm that Kelly died of "multiple drug intoxication."

The authorities did not reveal what kind of drug she took at that time. A full autopsy report which also reveals the substances found in Kelly's system is expected to be released in a few weeks.

Kelly, who is popular for her role as Laurie Forman on the popular FOX sitcom, was pronounced dead on August 15. She was 43. Her agent Craig Wyckoff said in a statement at that time, "Unfortunately Lisa Robin Kelly passed away last evening. Lisa had voluntarily checked herself into a treatment facility early this week where she was battling the addiction problems that have plagued her these past few years."

Back then, a doctor at the facility reportedly concluded that Kelly passed away from embolism. According to New York Daily News, the doctor wanted to sign the death certificate without autopsy. "The doctor said he thought it was an embolism, but that's not how it works. Any rehab death has to go through the coroner," a source explained.
