AceShowbiz - Rapper Waka Flocka Flame has just lost a member of his family. His younger brother, an aspiring rapper named Kayo Redd, passed away on Sunday, December 29 in Atlanta. Their mother Deb Antney took to Twitter to confirm the sad news, writing, "I just lost another son." Flame at first only tweeted, "God please bless me," but a few hours later he posted a slideshow of Redd's photo and said, "Ya Big Brother love you Kayo."

The authorities have not released the cause of death. TMZ, however, reports that law enforcement officers found self-inflicted gunshot wound. An autopsy would be conducted on Monday.

Redd promoted his latest mixtape "Red Kisses" in his last Twitter post. The mixtape was released back in summer. In addition to "Red Kisses", Redd released "YNS 2: Full Time Grind" mixtape in 2012.

Nicki Minaj, who was managed by Antney, took to Instagram to offer condolences. She wrote, "Devastated by the loss of this precious soul... Always so sweet to me... I cant even... Sending prayers and all my love to Deb, Waka, Wooh, Quam, Big Joe, Bimmy, the entire fam... Gone too soon Kayo... Gone way too soon." Mike Will Made It additionally wrote on Twitter, "Man wtf now my lil bro Kayo... Smh RIP young'n... Damn."

Flame previously experienced another tragedy in his family. He lost another brother due to a car accident when he was 13 years old. Antney told Vibe that the passing caused Flame to act out and blame himself. In 2011, he lost a member of his Brick Squad, Slim Dunkin, who was fatally shot during an argument in a studio.
