'Children of a Lesser God' actress Matlin joins 'Pitch Perfect' star Skylar Astin, who is added to the cast for the musical show's Nationals episode.

AceShowbiz - "Glee" has secured Academy Award-winning actress Marlee Matlin to guest star in an upcoming Nationals episode. She will play one of the judges at the competition and appear in the episode set to air in March.

"Look where I'm working for the next few days - @gleeonfox !!" she tweeted a picture of her on the show's set. She has also shared another photo featuring her and the series regulars, Darren Criss and Chord Overstreet, and another guest star Skylar Astin.

"Pitch Perfect" star Astin was cast earlier in the guest role as Jean-Baptise, the leader of Throat Explosion which will compete with New Directions at Nationals. Lea Michele previously opened up about how she had been trying to ger her friend Astin a role on the drama comedy series.

"We've been trying! I wanted them to see him for Brody and for so many characters along the way, but he just has to stop being a movie star and doing so many movies!" the Rachel Berry depicter said in October 2012. "I'm his biggest fan, he's one of my best friends, and I couldn't be happier for him and his success. He's amazing in 'Pitch Perfect'. The minute I can get him on 'Glee', I want him on the show."

"Glee" has had many A-listers appearing in guest roles throughout its five-season run and the list could grow longer. Recently, Julia Roberts told E! News that she would love to star on the show created by Ryan Murphy, who has directed her in feature film "Eat Pray Love" and upcoming HBO movie "The Normal Heart".

"If he came up with a some funny soap opera back from the dead moment for the last vestiges of the entire series, wouldn't that be fun!" she said when asked if she would be up for a guest spot on "Glee".

"Glee" is currently on hiatus and will return with new episodes on its new night and time starting Tuesday, February 25 at 8 P.M. on FOX.
