AceShowbiz - "Family Guy" has made fans' biggest wish come true in the Christmas episode. The show brought back the beloved dog Brian, who was declared dead after getting hit a by a car in an episode aired last month.

In the latest outing aired on Sunday, December 15, [SPOILER ALERT!] Stewie told a mall Santa that he wanted Brian back for Christmas. Newly adopted dog Vinny tried to cheer his owner up by dressing as Brian, but it didn't work.

The pooch then took Stewie to the toy store to pick out something else. There, Stewie saw his past self who still had the time machine that could be used to save Brian before he was hit by a car.

Stewie went back in time to save Brian. On Christmas Day, Brian thanked Stewie for giving him the best present of all, saying, "A lot of other families would have just gotten another dog and moved on."

Following the good surprise, series creator Seth MacFarlane tweeted to explain their message with Brian's temporary death, "And thus endeth our warm, fuzzy holiday lesson: Never take those you love for granted, for they can be gone in a flash."

He later added, "I mean, you didn't really think we'd kill off Brian, did you? Jesus, we'd have to be f***ing high. ... Oh and hey... thanks for caring so much about the canine Griffin. He is overcome with gratitude."
