The reality star insisted that the surgery to smoothen his trachea is not one step towards gender reassignment.
While his stepdaughter Khloe Kardashian is busy mending her marriage, Bruce Jenner is busy mending his look. The 64-year-old reality star is planning to go under the knife to remove his Adam's apple because he reportedly never liked his trachea.
Per TMZ, Jenner left a doctor's office in Beverly Hills on Thursday, December 12. He told TMZ that he initially saw the plastic surgeon to remove a large scar that did not heal well after an operation to remove a cancerous cell on his nose. While discussing a plastic surgery for his nose, Jenner also consulted the doctor on the procedure called Laryngeal Shave.
Jenner is no stranger to plastic surgery. In a 2006 episode of "Keeping Up with the Kardashians", he underwent a corrective surgery to reverse a botched work. "Twenty five years ago, Bruce was ill-advised by a doctor to have a partial facelift and a nose job," Kim Kardashian defended her stepdad.
She continued, "Unfortunately, the result wasn't what Bruce had hoped for and for years since then he has been the victim of cruel taunts from the media. Since he's turning 60 in October, Bruce felt it was time to correct the mistakes made by the previous doctor so he went to a new doctor for a second facelift."
While Jenner insisted that the trachea reduction is not one of the steps towards a gender reassignment, comedian Marlon Wayans believed otherwise. "I think slowly but surely he's been turning himself into a woman all these years," Wayans told TMZ. "Why don't Bruce Jenner just go and get the titties now ... just get the breasts." He added, "He's gonna look like me in 'White Chicks'."
