AceShowbiz - A woman called Maryam Hassan was found not guilty of assaulting Tara Reid during a November 2012 altercation at a London nightclub. According to a verdict delivered on Thursday, December 12, Hassan was not guilty of assault resulting in actual bodily harm as well as racially aggravated intentional harassment, alarm or distress.

After the verdict was read, Hassan reportedly said, "Thank you." She then hugged a friend who was with her in the courtroom while sobbing hysterically. According to Daily Mail, Hassan who wore black top, pants, jacket and flat shoes refused to comment outside the court.

Reid described the incident in a court document, "I noticed a female who kept approaching the table a few times. I didn't know who she was but I guess she was not getting any attention. She came up to me and threw the contents of her drink over my chest. I reacted immediately and threw my drink over her. The club's body guard took her away. The same female came back 20 minutes later and she was then taken away. She said, 'I'm not getting kicked out, you whore, you slut.' "

The "Sharknado" actress' eye got injured after Hassan threw a glass at her face. At that time, Reid said she could not open her eyes following the incident. She received treatment for a corneal abrasion, a cut to her forehead and an injury to the bridge of her nose at a hospital. Hassan, however, claimed that the glass flew out of her hands when she was handled by the guard. Hassan additionally admitted to calling the guard dirty word, but insisted that she did not use racist slur.
