"American Horror Story: Coven" won't return until December 4, but a preview for the new episode has been shared. The video shows Fiona seemingly being haunted by Madison as the young witches talk about their plan to kill the Supreme.
Delphine is still locked up by Marie and tries to lure Queenie to get her out of the cage, but Marie interrupts their conversation. Meanwhile, Misty pleads for help as someone is hunting her down, and Fiona is still bonding with the Axeman.
According to the official synopsis for "The Sacred Taking", Cordelia rallies the girls in the fight to stop Fiona, a dangerous new enemy puts Misty in the cross hairs, and the rivalry between Marie Laveau and Delphine comes to a head. Ryan Murphy wrote the episode and Alfonso Gomez-Rejon directed it.
Murphy has revealed that hints about the upcoming season 4 will be found beginning in the 11th episode of "Coven". He additionally tells Entertainment Weekly that the new installment is "not contemporary" and "it's either going to shoot in New Orleans or it's going to shoot in Santa Fe."
As for the reported potential spin-off, Murphy says the project isn't happening, at least not in the near future. He explains, "We were starting to break episode 8 or 9 and we were like, 'Well, we can't kill that person off because we need them for the spin-off.' As soon as those words were said, I was like, 'There is no spin-off.' Because it took away from the joy of the show. The reason the show is successful is no one is safe ever."
