The 'R.I.P.' singer was dehydrated and exhausted while taking photos for Madonna's fashion label.
Singer Rita Ora is fine despite collapsing on the set of a photo shoot on Monday, November 18. The 22-year-old was treated for heat exhaustion and dehydration, and has been discharged from the hospital.
Ora was shooting for Madonna's Material Girl clothing line campaign in Miami in the middle of the day. As she prepared for the photo taking on the beach near SoHo Beach House hotel, she fainted in her makeup trailer. An ambulance was called and she was rushed to nearby hospital. Upon arrival she was unloaded on a stretcher and was immediately attended by emergency personnel.
"Rita Ora was treated for heat exhaustion and dehydration at our hospital today," Dr. David Farcy, Chairman of the Emergency Department at Mount Sinai Hospital Miami, told Us Weekly in a statement. "She was discharged and is fine."
Ora, who popularized the hit "R.I.P.", is in the middle of a burgeoning career in the fashion industry. Beside representing Madonna's label, she had modeled for DKNY and has signed a contract with Adidas to design her own collection.
