The 'Real Housewives of Miami' star says in an interview that she had eating disorder when she was trying to make a career as a model, but 'thank God I didn't hurt myself and stopped.'

AceShowbiz - Joanna Krupa had eating disorder in the past. The reality star tells PEOPLE that she suffered from eating disorder when she was an aspiring model, adding that she opted for laxative to deal with body image issues.
"I gained weight and struggled to lose it quickly in order to pursue my dreams of being a model. Being 20 years old, I had no idea how to lose weight fast and laxatives were an easy way out," she admits. The Poland-born model thankfully got rid of the bad habit. "Thank God I didn't hurt myself and stopped," the star of "The Real Housewives of Miami" says.
In the interview, the former contestant on "Dancing with the Stars" also reveals that she is planning to start a family with her husband Romain Zago. "I would love to have twins - a girl and a boy, but who knows if that would happen. It would be my ideal situation. Wham, bam be done with it," she says.
Krupa and Zago exchanged vows in July in front of 150 family and friends, including Adriana De Moura and Alexia Echevarria. The ceremony was held at the poolside at the Park Hyatt Aviara resort in San Diego. "After they were pronounced husband and wife, they couldn't stop kissing. They both looked extremely happy. It was a very special ceremony," an eyewitness said.
