The nominations for 2014 People's Choice Awards in music field have been announced. Katy Perry leads the pack with five nominations in various categories that include Favorite Female Artist, Favorite Pop Artist and Favorite Music Fan Following.
Her chart-topping single "Roar" is up for Favorite Song, the same category that includes Pink's "Just Give Me a Reason" and Imagine Dragons' "Radioactive". The same song by Perry is also set to compete against One Direction's "Best Song Ever" and Miley Cyrus' "Wrecking Ball" in Favorite Music Video category.
Following behind Perry with four nominations are Demi Lovato and Justin Timberlake. The judge of "The X Factor (US)" will battle against Perry in four categories, Favorite Female Artist, Favorite Pop Artist, Favorite Music Fan Following and Favorite Music Video for her "Heart Attack".
Meanwhile, Timberlake is nominated for Favorite Male Artist, Favorite R&B Artist, Favorite Song for his hit single "Mirrors" and Favorite Album for his first release this year "The 20/20 Experience".
One Direction, Bruno Mars, Pink and Blake Shelton score three nods each. Other nominees include R&B singer Robin Thicke, rap duo Macklemore & Ryan Lewis, country cutie Taylor Swift, Kiwi singer/songwriter Lorde and Grammy Awards-winning band Mumford & Sons.
In TV field, "Glee" is the biggest nominee with eight nods. Meanwhile, Sandra Bullock dominates the movie nominations as she is set to battle against other nominees in five categories.
The 2014 People's Choice Awards will be aired on CBS on Wednesday, January 8 2014 at 09:00 P.M.. "2 Broke Girls" stars Kat Dennings and Beth Behrs are hosting the annual show. Fans can vote for their favorite nominees on the People's Choice website and also on Facebook and Twitter. Voting is now open and continues until December 5.
