The sneak-peek video teases new love, new secrets and scandals in the Yorkshire country estate.
PBS has debuted a trailer for "Downton Abbey" season 4. Still highlighting Lady Mary and her struggle to move on following her husband's death, the video hints at new love that comes with the arrivals of some new characters.
"Will Mary move on? What's in store for Edith? Who is Cousin Rose kissing? What new secrets and scandals are on the horizon?" are the questions attached to the 30-second snippet. Those questions will be answered when the show returns on January 5, 2014 on PBS.
Added to the cast ensemble this season are Julian Ovenden and Tom Cullen as Lady Mary's potential suitors Charles Blake and Lord Gillingham respectively, and Paul Giamatti as the maverick playboy brother of Lady Cora, Harold. The period drama will also introduce another new character, jazz singer Jack Ross who is played by Gary Carr.
"I just want her to be happy eventually," Michelle Dockery once revealed her wish for her character Lady Mary. "She was, and now she's not again."
