Like new comedy "Brooklyn Nine-Nine" starring Andy Samberg, sitcom "Dads" from Seth McFarlane ("Family Guy", "Ted") also gets a full season pickup from FOX. The TV network has ordered additional nine episodes for the freshman, bringing its first season total to 22.

The series centers on thirtysomething video game designers (Seth Green and Giovanni Ribisi) who live with their oddball fathers. It was previously slammed for its insensitive jokes. But McFarlane refused to re-shoot the controversial scenes and Ribisi defiantly told the critics to "go f*** yourself."

"Dads" so far generates only modest numbers in the 8 P.M. slot on Tuesdays. This week, the show slips 7% to a 1.4 in the key 18-49 age demographic and collected an average of about 3.59 million viewers (up 6%).

"FOX has been looking to break into the multi-camera format for some time," said FOX's Reilly. "With 'Dads,' we have an asset that we can grow, and we're looking forward to seeing where the fantastic cast and the creative minds of Seth, Alec, Mike and Wellesley take us the rest of the season."
