'RoboCop' and 'Monuments Men' Get New Release Dates


The robot remake moves from February 7 to February 12 to make a room for George Clooney's drama.

Sony Pictures adjusts release schedule for some of its upcoming films. "RoboCop" gives up its February 7, 2014 slot to George Clooney's period movie "The Monuments Men". As a result, the remake project is pushed back five days to February 12.

"American Hustle" leaves its original December 25 date this year to occupy December 13 previously booked by the World War II-set drama. Before opening wide, the David O. Russell all-star flick will be screened in select theaters on December 13.

Paramount moves Chris Pine-starring "Jack Ryan: Shadow Recruit" from Christmas this year to January 17, 2014 ahead of the Martin Luther King Jr. holiday. And Leonardo DiCaprio-led "The Wolf of Wall Street" snatches the December 25 date left vacant by "Jack Ryan".
