Whoopi Goldberg lands a role on "Once Upon a Time in Wonderland". The Emmy and Oscar-winning actress, who currently serves as moderator and co-host on "The View", has been tapped to lend her voice to White Rabbit's wife.
Her character will first appear in the eighth episode in both the current storyline and a flashback to the timekeeping, slightly crazed bunny. It's not known if she will return in another episode or is only booked for one-episode gig.
John Lithgow, who voices White Rabbit, is among the regular cast members, along with Sophie Lowe who stars as Alice, Emma Rigby as Red Queen, Naveen Andrews as Jafar and Michael Socha as The Knave of Hearts. Keith David and Iggy Pop lend their voice to Cheshire Cat and Caterpillar respectively.
Goldberg has a recurring role as Carmen Tibideaux on "Glee". She has also appeared on short-lived supernatural drama series "666 Park Avenue" and voiced the rubbery octopus Stretch in animated movie "Toy Story 3".
