The 'Baby I' singer and the British crooner did their hit duet for their guest stint on the ABC dance show.
Young pop star Ariana Grande and British singer-songwriter Mika dropped by ABC's dancing competition show "Dancing with the Stars" on October 21 not to do any dancing moves but to do what they do best - singing. The pair performed their hit duet "Popular Song" to which the show's pro dancers moved to, creating a special light number in the otherwise tension-filled show.
Grande looked cute in a navy sweater and black skirt paired with black tights and a cat ear headband. Meanwhile, Mika matched her look with a blue blazer on a white shirt and black skinny necktie. The two sang away as pairs of the show's pros danced in the stage area in front of them.
"Popular Song", which samples "Popular" from the Broadway musical "Wicked", appears on the 30-year-old Mika's third studio album "The Origin of Love". It originally featured the vocals of Priscilla Renea but eventually evolved to be a collaboration track with 20-year-old Grande to make it more marketable in the U.S. Mika and Grande had previously performed the song on "The Tonight Show with Jay Leno".
Aside from the adorable pair's song number, the Monday night episode also featured a brand new challenge called "The Switch-Up" where the couples competed on a fresh take on a dance marathon. Points would be awarded based on longevity and the judges elected who among the pairs would be removed from the dance floor.
