Tweets which document Rihanna's trip to Thailand have prompted an arrest. Two men were previously arrested after the "Diamonds" singer posted a photo of her snuggling up with a protected animal and now a bar owner was taken into custody following her tweets.
On September 21, Rihanna wrote on Twitter, "Either I was phuck wasted last night, or I saw a Thai woman pull a live bird, 2 turtles, razors, shoot darts and ping pong, all out of her p***y." She added in another post, "And THEN she tried to turn water into coke in her $!! Uhh yea, all I'm saying is water went in and soda came out! I'm traumatized!!!"
The Associated Press reported that the bar owner was charged with obscenity and operating an entertainment venue without a permit. The bar owner may spend up to one month in prison and a $1,900 fine.
"Authorities found out about this bar the morning after Rihanna tweeted about it, but we were not able to catch them violating the law until Saturday night," Phuket police chief Weera Kerdsirimongkon said on Monday, October 14. "We had been waiting for them and finally caught them red-handed."
In late September, two men aged 20 and 16 were arrested for allegedly peddling protected slow loris. They were arrested after Rihanna uploaded a photo of her with the animal. "Phuket authorities were alerted to the picture (of Rihanna), and last night police arrested the two individuals who brought out the loris as a photo opportunity for tourists," authorities said. Two lorises which were confiscated by the police were sent back to national park.
