The former drummer of Guns N' Roses marries his longtime girlfriend in a ceremony which was attended by Steven Tyler, Juliette Lewis, John Varvatos and Jane Lynch among others.
Matt Sorum now is a married man. A representative for the former Guns N' Roses and Velvet Revolver member has confirmed that the star is married to his longtime girlfriend, singer/dancer Adriane "Ace" Harper.
The couple got married in a star-studded ceremony which took place in Palm Springs, California on Saturday, October 12. Steven Tyler, Juliette Lewis, Jane Lynch, John Stamos, Dave Navarro as well as former Guns N' Roses bandmates Slash and Duff McKagan attended the ceremony at the Colony Palms Hotel.
Designer John Varvatos, who was also among the guests, designed Sorum's tux and suits for the groomsmen, according to Us Weekly. Monique Lhuillier, meanwhile, created the bride and bridesmaids' dresses.
"My first tweet since becoming a married man, yes it does feel different, more in Love with @AceHarper," Sorum wrote on Twitter on October 13. Harper tweeted, "I'm officially Mrs. Sorum! It was the most beautiful & happy day of my life! So grateful for my husband @mattsorum my soulmate & best friend."
Harper, who attended Cara Crawford's Central Oklahoma Dance Center in Ada, Okla. before moving to L.A. to pursue her career, also retweeted a congratulatory message from Slash. "Congratulations to @mattsorum & @aceharper for tying the knot this weekend!! All the best wishes from @PerlaFHudson the kids & I," the message read.
Sorum and Harper met for the first time at a Super Bowl party in Texas. They had been dating for seven years before they got engaged in 2011.
