AceShowbiz - Bruce Willis recreated "Armageddon" when hosting "Saturday Night Live" last weekend. He led a group of roughnecks sent to outer space to take out an asteroid. But instead of focusing on saving the planet, Bobby Moynihan's character was only concerned about getting back to Earth to see his cat.
The action movie star seemingly poked fun at his other alter ego, John McClane, in another skit. Playing a Navy SEAL, he insisted on jumping into action and imagined dramatic ambush on a terrorist cell like he would in an action movie while his actual job was to wait in the van.
Willis showed some hilarious dance moves in "Boy Dance Party" sketch, in which he and cast members Taran Killam, Kenan Thompson and Beck Bennett showed what men do on football Sunday when their wives are away. "In the older days, the ladies stayed at home and went to work. Now it's time for the ladies to get out so the boys can stay home and twerk," Moynihan sang.
Earlier that night, the General Joseph Colton of "G.I. Joe: Retaliation" played harmonica in his monologue. Meanwhile, Thompson and Kate McKinnon spoofed "Gravity" in the cold open. As they were left stranded in outer space due to the government shutdown, Thompson suggested doing "a series of small burps" like Charlie and Grandpa did in "Charlie and the Chocolate Factory" to get back on Earth.
On October 26, Edward Norton will host "SNL" for the first time with Janelle Monae as the musical guest.
