The actor asked a friend to hide in the bushes to film his proposal to Stas set in a flower-filled creek.
"Drop Dead Diva" cast member Jackson Hurst has just popped the question to his girlfriend Stacy Stas and the answer was a big "Yes!" After re-creating their first date with the help of a friend, the 34-year-old actor proposed to Stas and now he is "#luckiestguyintheworld," as he himself wrote in a hash-tagged tweet posted on October 7 to announce their engagement.
"Ladies and Gentlemen... I'm proud to announce... SHE SAID YES! #luckiestguyintheworld," Hurst broke the good news to his Twitter followers. Similarly, Stas could not contain her excitement as she declared, "I'm going to marry the man of my dreams, my best friend, my soulmate.I love you with all my heart @jaxhurst!" to caption a photo of his fiance giving her a kiss on the cheek with eyes closed and a sweet smile across his lips.
Hurst and Stas began their relationship more than four years ago, after Hurst realized that "it was kind of love at first sight," recalling how they would talk everyday after they first met when Stas was shooting a horror movie in Wisconsin. "There was a span of two days when we didn't talk and I was losing my mind," he admitted.
It was a month later when Stas had returned to Los Angeles from Wisconsin that the pair had their first official date, a picnic with candles, sushi and champagne that Hurst set up in Griffith Park as they watched the fireworks display. For his proposal, Hurst re-created the moment with the help of a friend who hid in the bushes to film him as he presented his ladylove with a diamond engagement ring.
