Cranston is expected to make his Broadway debut this winter reprising his role as President Lyndon B. Johnson in 'All the Way'.

Fresh off his "Breaking Bad" gig, Bryan Cranston is now heading to Broadway with "All the Way". The stage production where the 57-year-old actor takes on the role as President Lyndon B. Johnson will open in New York this coming winter marking his Broadway debut.

Written by Pulitzer Prize winner Robert Schenkkan and directed by Bill Rauch, the three-hour play will follow Johnson being rushed to the Oval Office following the 1963 assassination of President John F. Kennedy. No opening date for the Broadway run has been announced.

Describing the show as a depiction of "LBJ's quest for legitimacy," producer Jeffrey Richards says, "It deals with a year in American history that was a tumultuous year and an exciting year. The writer has brought it to life vividly." He adds, "I think it's a transformative performance."

Cranston has been performing the role at the American Repertory Theater in Cambridge, Massachusetts. The show will run at the A.R.T. through October 12 before transferring to the Broadway.

Richards also produced "August: Osage County" which was recently adapted into the big screen with Meryl Streep and Julia Roberts on the lead. The movie version has generated Oscar buzz since being premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival earlier this year.
