After being Kaley Cuoco's personal assistant for years, Briana Cuoco got her chance to shine on "The Voice". Her audition on the singing competition was aired as part of the third episode of the show's season 5.
"I don't want to make appointments, take the dogs, call the plumber," she said of her current job. She added, "My sister understands that I have aspirations, that I have things that I wanna do." Kaley was indeed supportive, saying, "She's deserved this her whole life... this is her time now."
Briana sang Lady GaGa's "You and I". Halfway through her performance, Christina Aguilera turned her chair around, followed by Cee-Lo Green after being convinced by Adam Levine to do so. Briana then decided to be on team Christina.
Another contestant scoring a spot on the show was Ray Boudreaux, a young single father with an old soul, so Carson Daly described him. His cover of Bill Withers' "Use Me" intrigued Blake Shelton and Cee-Lo who pressed their buttons for him. Adam said Ray looked like Blake but sounded like Cee-Lo. The singing hopeful chose the country music crooner as his mentor.
Former model Lina Gaudenzi joined team Christina after being vied by Blake as well. Christina also wanted 16-year-old Juhi who has a unique voice to be on her team, but the blue-haired girl opted to go with Cee-Lo.
Justin Blake covered Blake Shelton's "Sure Be Cool If You Did", but it's Adam who turned his chair around for the escort driver who's also an expectant father. Christina pushed her button first when Timyra-Joi sang "Girl on Fire" by Alicia Keys, winning the 15-year-old-girl over Blake and Cee-Lo.
Monika Leigh stopped singing at 22 because she thought she's getting older but four years later she realized her true calling and now auditioned on "The Voice". Adam, Blake and Cee-Lo pressed their buttons for her. She eventually decided to join team Blake.
Cee-Lo scored George Horga Jr., an 18-year-old Romanian who moved away from home despite his community tradition in which someone shoud live with his family until he's married. Preston Pohl delivered an energectic performance of "Electric Feel" by MGMT and landed on team Adam.
Also sent through to the next round, R&B singer Anthony Paul joined team Cee Lo, pop singer Cilla Chan is with Team Blake and rocker Jacob Poole chose Christina as his mentor.
