AceShowbiz - A new sneak peek for "Thor: The Dark World", which was debuted during the premiere of ABC's new series "Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.", has made its way out online. The TV spot shares some new footage, including when Jane and Thor recall his previous trip back to Earth.

"I saw you with the Avengers," Jane says, asking her love interest why he didn't meet her at the time, as the scene offers a glimpse of Thor fighting alongside Hawkeye, Captain America, Black Widow, Iron Man and The Hulk. "I fought to protect Earth," he reasons. The couple's relationship is definitely on good term as she admits that his excuse is "not terrible."

Chris Hemsworth returns as the God of Thunder, who this time fights to restore order across the cosmos. But an ancient race led by the vengeful Malekith returns to plunge the universe back into darkness. Faced with an enemy that even Odin and Asgard cannot withstand, Thor must embark on his most perilous and personal journey yet, one that will reunite him with Jane Foster and force him to sacrifice everything to save us all.

Natalie Portman and Tom Hiddleston also reprise their roles as Jane and Loki respectively, with Kat Dennings, Anthony Hopkins, Stellan Skarsgard and Jaimie Alexander joining the returning cast members. Alan Taylor directs the "Thor" sequel, which will hit theaters nationwide on November 8.

Taylor recently opened up that "The Avengers" helmer Josh Whedon helped solve some major issues in the original screenplay of "Thor 2". "We had a major scene that was not working on the page at all in London, and he basically got airlifted in, like a SWAT team or something. He came down, rewrote the scene," he revealed.
